Oakhurst bungalow bed redesign
Full front-yard tear-out + native pollinator bed redesign for a 1925 craftsman. 220 sqft of new bed work, 14 species, drip irrigation.
Service area · DeKalb County
Native-plant design, paver hardscape, drainage, irrigation, lighting, and recurring maintenance. Same crew, same designer, same quality on every Decatur project. Oakhurst · Winnona Park · Lake Claire.
We’ve been doing landscape work in Decatur since 2011 — small in-town lots where every square foot matters, and where the right plant in the right spot makes the difference between a yard you love and one you ignore. Most Decatur projects are compact paver patios, pollinator-friendly bed redesigns, espaliered fruit trees on fence lines, and bluestone walks.
Oakleaf hydrangea
Hydrangea quercifolia
Native to GA piedmont, handles part-shade and clay better than mophead hydrangeas, gives 3-season interest.
Coral honeysuckle
Lonicera sempervirens
Hummingbird magnet, evergreen-ish, perfect for the chain-link Decatur loves to dress up.
Christmas fern
Polystichum acrostichoides
Evergreen, deer-resistant, thrives under the oaks every Oakhurst lot has.
Black-eyed Susan
Rudbeckia fulgida 'Goldsturm'
Pollinator workhorse — runs from June through frost in our climate.
Eastern redbud
Cercis canadensis
Small understory tree that fits a 1/4-acre lot and earns its keep every March.
Heavy red clay with thin topsoil and decades of root competition.
Oakhurst and Winnona Park lots typically have 4–8" of decent topsoil over solid red clay. The mature oak network means most beds also fight serious root competition. We amend every bed with leaf-compost + expanded shale (PermaTill), build raised berms for anything that hates wet feet, and never plant the day we till — we let amendments settle for 7–10 days first.
Tree-root protection
Most Decatur lots have a 50–100yr oak the property revolves around. We use air-spade methods near critical root zones and route hardscape around — never through — the drip line. Lost trees aren’t worth a patio.
City of Decatur tree ordinance
Decatur’s tree ordinance is strict and well-enforced. We pull the right permits and stage materials off the critical root zone. We’ve never lost a tree-board hearing.
Tight access
Most lots have 36–42" side-yard gates. We size hardscape installs around what fits a Dingo or a wheelbarrow — not a Bobcat. Plan that in the design phase, not at the job site.
HOA design review (Avondale)
Avondale Estates Historic District has design-review boards for hardscape and tree work. We submit the drawing package for you and answer the board questions live.

Our process
One company. Three phases. Same designer at consult, same crew at install, same office calling to schedule the next mow. That’s how a yard you spent fifty thousand dollars on still looks like new five years later.
Design — on paper before a shovel goes in the ground
Free 90-minute consult on site. We listen, measure, photograph, then draft a scaled landscape plan with 3D renderings of the major hardscape. You see the patio before we pour the base.
Build — ICPI-certified, owner-supervised, one crew
Same five-person crew on every project, led by Marcus. Engineered base for every paver. No sub-contractors except licensed electrical and plumbing. Daily site cleanup, project manager on speed dial.
Maintain — the same people who built it keep it
Optional monthly plans starting at $120/mo. Whoever maintains your yard is the same person who designed the beds. Plant warranty extends through the first full year on a Greenline plan.
Homeowner voices
We don’t buy reviews and we don’t buy leads. These are Atlanta-metro homeowners whose yards we’ve put hands on in the last 90 days. Full Google reviews linked from each.
We had three landscapers quote our Buckhead backyard. Greenline was the only one who showed up with a sketchbook and asked what we actually wanted to *do* in the space. Three weeks later we have an outdoor room we use four nights a week.

Marcus designed our front yard in 2017 and Renee has maintained it since 2019. The yard still looks like the day it was installed — actually better, because the maples have filled in. That kind of continuity is hard to find.
Sandeep V.
Belgard paver patio and outdoor kitchen in Alpharetta. They pulled permits, coordinated electrical and gas, and finished on the day they said. The cost was the cost. No change orders, no surprises. We're getting a pool next year — Greenline gets the call.
