Before
After1928 Garden Hills bungalow whose fescue front lawn was completely fried by July every year. The owners wanted a low-water, low-mow alternative that fit the bungalow’s scale and wouldn’t look out of place on a Buckhead historic street. Failed boxwood foundation hedges and overgrown yew were eating the front porch.
Removed the fescue, boxwood, and yews. Reset the entry walk with reclaimed bluestone for a slightly wider, more level approach. Planted a drought-tolerant native meadow palette in front of the porch with switchgrass, yaupon, beautyberry, and native columbine. Added FX path lighting and a drip irrigation system sized for the establishment season only — designed to be turned off after year two.

Outcome
Year-one water bill on the front yard dropped 84% compared to the prior fescue regime. The owners reported neighbors asking for our card three weeks after install. We turned off the drip irrigation after the second growing season; the meadow has self-sustained on rainfall since.

Build — ICPI-certified, owner-supervised, one crew
Same five-person crew on every project, led by Marcus. Engineered base for every paver. No sub-contractors except licensed electrical and plumbing. Daily site cleanup, project manager on speed dial.
Maintain — the same people who built it keep it
Optional monthly plans starting at $120/mo. Whoever maintains your yard is the same person who designed the beds. Plant warranty extends through the first full year on a Greenline plan.
